About the Charity
The organization has been caring for donkeys and various animals and saving donkey lives in the Middle East for 20 years!
We have set ourselves a clear goal: to save, care for and help every animal.
Among other things, the organization also cares for horses and other animals that need medical care on a daily basis.
The organization was established in 2000 with the aim of helping the thousands of donkeys working in Israel and the Palestinian territories.
Today, our shelter in Israel provides lifelong care for over 180 unwanted and exploited donkeys of all ages, and the charity work does not stop at the shelter gates:
Every month, our mobile clinic helps 500 working donkeys, mules and horses throughout Israel and the Palestinian territories, and we treat dozens of animals a day.
Common injuries such as these, caused by the use of cheap work equipment, overgrown hooves and poor teeth, can be easily treated and make a significant improvement in the lives of animals who work so hard for so little.
Counselling and education are key parts of the organisation’s work with owners and their children. Through our dedication and gentle approach, our staff has many members who treat them with trust and respect.
Please help us continue our vital work caring for the residents of the safe haven and reach out to those donkeys who pull carts, carry heavy loads or are abandoned when they are too old or injured to work.
Our vision
To secure a land of refuge and protection, providing a rescue centre where we can care for abandoned donkeys and those requiring special attention.
To ensure that any animal found abandoned on highways is safely transferred to a rescue centre, where they can live free from the burden of toil, stress and suffering, until they can be rehabilitated.
To neuter all male donkeys in our care wherever possible and to promote the importance of this practice.
To provide a humane end to serious and unfortunate cases where the animal is deemed by a qualified veterinarian to have zero chance of a healthy life with an adequate quality of life.
To maintain up-to-date records of every animal in our care.
Work with other welfare organizations and advocates to combine our efforts and end animal suffering and cruelty, ensuring that all parties are aware of our progress.
Free veterinary centers are located throughout Israel and the West Bank, providing medical services to hundreds of donkeys and horses every month.
We help and change the lives of many suffering animals every year, but we need your help to continue our sacred work.
We need your help!
After 20 years of activity, we are forced to ask you for a donation to the association so that we can continue to operate!
